The French lipstick packing expert, Reboul, since 1921, delivers the best quality of lipsticks by designing and creating the next-generation mechanisms by providing casings, as well as full packaging solutions. Now, this luxury brand has been a part of the Aptar Group since 2018.
The renowned lipstick brand is celebrating its 100th anniversary by reminiscing about some of its most iconic lipstick launches that still inspire today’s most prestigious colour cosmetics and luxury brands.
Initially, Reboul started filing production patents for lipsticks in the 1950s and with the exploration of metal lipstick solutions for Elizabeth Arden or Lancôme, before adding plastic transformation technology to its portfolio, as explained by the Helena Rubinstein collection in the early 1980s. The metal only packaging solutions expanded towards plastic solutions and casings in the early 1980s, and soon other product lines followed and expanded, like mascaras, mini carry on perfumes, face stick packaging, and metal makeup casing (compacts).
With a long history of successful iconic launches and partnerships, Aptar Reboul brings its knowledge and experience to inspire the future of lipstick packing. Some iconic launches from recent years suggest the creation of the past, like the 2010 Lancôme collection paying homage to the 1950s lipsticks style, or most recently the Lush lipstick, the vintage full metal lipstick re-invented in a contemporary, refillable design.
To meet the strong customers’ demands to the fullest for more transparent, environmentally-friendly and ethical products in today’s challenging and bustling beauty market, the luxury lipstick brand has been working on exploring several sustainable options to enhance lipstick packaging as a whole.
The renowned lipstick brand is a preferred partner of the beauty industry, widely known for its expertise in plastic and metal technologies. The French specialist in manufacturing and design of plastic and high-quality metal-plastic components and casings, next-generation mechanisms and full lipstick packaging solutions – including made-to-measure or standard casings – is committed to an environmental-friendly approach to its industrial production
Sandrine Bréchon, Innovation and Development Manager at Aptar Reboul in an interview to Premium Beauty News said, “we are confident about seeing a rise in lipstick launches between March and October 2022. Industry surveys show that 65% of shoppers are willing and excited to wear make-up again.” Makeup, and to be more precise lipstick, has brighter days ahead!
